We Tried to Resist. We Really Did.

We pressed the discs, had them wrapped them in clear plastic so you could vibe with the cover art, boxed them up (by hand - we support humans), and we shipped them to doorsteps all over the world. We worked for it, because some things are worth unwrapping.

But you asked. You nudged. You tagged. You DM’d. And so now... we’re streaming the 33⅓ Anniversary Edition box set exclusively on Bandcamp.

We said it would never happen, but we said that about reunion shows too.
The truth is, this project was made for the Floatilla but it belongs to the world. If streaming gets Tall Shadows into the ears of someone who wasn’t around in ’93 (or wasn’t paying attention), then hey - sacrilege can have its virtues, too.

So go ahead. Queue it up in that little phone thing that you never put down. Add it to your library. Stream away. We’ll still be here, polishing boomboxes and labeling discs. When you want the real thing - the box, the booklet, the discs, the tangible memories you can hold in your hands - you can still get one while supplies last. And honestly? We respect that a whole lot more.

Tall Shadows - 33 1/3 Anniversary Edition - Streaming now available exclusively on Basecamp, but still best experienced on CD with dim lighting and smoldering patchouli.

Newly buffed up and expanded over three CDs filled with the classic album, demos, never-before heard rarities, and our most legendary live performances.

📀 Disc One: Remastered (Tracks 1-13). The original 1993 album, newly remastered, dusted off, dialed in, and delivered with reverence.

📀 Disc Two: Rehearsed (Tracks 14-31). The origins of Tall Shadows across 18 never-released tracks drawn from studio demos, lost songs, and the earliest known Floating Men performance.

📀 Disc Three: Revealed (Tracks 32-46). The live, legendary performances of each track plus two bonus tracks, carefully curated from over 500 hours of recordings, then mastered, polished, and presented here for the first time. Same songs. Same sequence. Completely different experience.

📖 The Booklet. A 43-page digital booklet that documents the formation of The Floating Men, the creation of Tall Shadows, and the reverberating effect its had over three decades. Featuring lyrics, archived and new interviews, original reviews from the '90s, never-before-seen photos, and behind-the-scenes stories about the album’s recording, its artwork, and its mystique.

Lovingly reoverimagined and executively produced by Jeff Kibbey and Patsy DuBois.

Recorded at the album release celebration for “The Haunting” (2004) at 12th and Porter, the new live album is called “Dreamland” and has been the source of rumors among their fans for nearly 20 years. Bassist-vocalist and co-founder Scot Evans says, “At the time we were making a bumpy transition from physical products to download-only albums, so it made more sense to shelve the live album and focus on new studio projects while the industry sorted itself out.” Now, with all the streaming platforms solidly in place, the band decided it’s time. “That weekend was a high point on an amazing creative journey,” says writer-vocalist and co-founder Jeff Holmes. “The band was overflowing with creative energy and musical mischief. We couldn’t get everyone together on stage very often, so it was pure exhilaration when we did.”
