Thanks to the generosity of Executive Producers Patsy Dubos and Jeff Kibbey, and the recording, mixing, and mastering artistry of Ric "Skippy" Major, we have some new goodies for you! This gift is to mark the 30th anniversary of The Floating Men, the 20th anniversary of the Belcourt 10th anniversary show, and the 10th anniversary of the Rutledge 20th anniversary show in Nashville.
The Ghost of a Thrill Ride was captured during late summer 2002, during the band's final tour with Jeff Bishop on drums. Back to back weekends in Nashville and Chattanooga were recorded for what was to become Bootleg 5. We eventually used the 12th & Porter show in Nashville for the Boot 5 release. The previously unreleased Ghost is from the Rhythm & Brews show in Chattanooga. The live versions of songs in this collection are mostly from Invoking, Pines, Lemon Pie, and A Magnificent Man, with a few other FM classics included.
Remembering Paradise was captured in late 2003 after drummer Steve Ebe joined the band and The Haunting had been released. This is the only acoustic performance Skippy was alb to properly record because most acoustic sets were performed in the middle of a live audience with no good way to capture the audio. The song selection is similar to Ghost with songs from The Haunting added to the list.
