The Floating Men... Celebrating 19 Years and the Release of Their 16th Album “No Clocks, No Calendars, Act I” - part sex farce, part love story, and part supernatural chiller, set on a sea island off the coast of South Carolina, where a liberated, enlightened hippie enclave interacts warmly with the local culture, dominated by the Afro-Caribbean descendants of slaves.

The Sighing Hours Phase 1 Wish List and Job Opportunities
OK folks, things are falling into place and it's going to be "go time" very soon. We plan to present the World Premiere of The Sighing Hours on stage in late 2010 or early 2011.
We need to raise between $120,000 and $150,000 by August. Sticker shock? Imagine how we feel. Fortunately, we already have unsolicited donations and substantial pledges starting to come in (hold that thought, folks, we're not quite ready to accept large amounts of funds yet).
Fund raising will begin in earnest after we start announcing cast members in early March. We intend to build a strong sense of family and community purpose around the themes of the opera:
1) Dignity and love for all mankind regardless of race, sexuality, religion, age, etc.
2) Reverence for our environment
3) Reverence for our heritage and cultural diversity
4) The interdependent relationships between all of the above
We hope to do so by reaching out especially to businesses, organizations and individuals who share these core values, including socially conscious, culturally tolerant, eco-friendly entities. Holmes has already decided to donate a portion of his earnings, if any, to ecological conservation and cultural preservation/enrichment in Low Country South Carolina, particularly in the heart of Gullah-Geechee country. This is who we are and this is what we want people to know about us.
If you have experience in any of the following fields, share these values, and are willing to step up for a noble cause on a commission or pro bono basis, please email pleasurado@comcast.net:
1) Legal (talent contracts, incorporation, partnership agreements, etc.)
2) Fund raising
3) Ad sales
4) Corporate sponsorships
5) Venture capital
6) Web design and maintenance
7) Branding and Messaging
We also wish to extend a warm invitation to all members of Nashville performing arts community to join us in this thrilling and rewarding adventure.
Thank you for your consideration!
Much love,
TFM
